Senior Planners

As a result of ongoing success and expansion at AZ Urban Studio, we are actively seeking dynamic planners to join our tightly-knit team at our central London office, located in Bloomsbury.

We are eager to attract inspired planners with a genuine passion for innovative town planning, and are committed to providing them with engaging projects to work on. AZ Urban Studio is a specialist planning and development consultancy renowned for consistently excelling in our chosen fields.

Our planning projects encompass various scales and locations, from city centre developments to rural diversification planning for expansive country estates.

We are currently looking for highly motivated and diligent Senior Planners to join our team. We are specifically interested in individuals with experience managing planning applications within the private or public sectors.

Responsibilities (dependent on the level of experience):

  • Delivering town planning consultancy services
  • Overseeing planning projects from initiation to completion
  • Maintaining effective client communication
  • Negotiating and presenting to key stakeholders and Local Planning Authorities
  • Producing essential planning documents, including planning assessments, planning statements, design and access statements, and appeal statements

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience within the private or public sectors
  • Chartered Member of RTPI
  • Excellent professional writing skills, including the ability to articulate clear and well-reasoned arguments and produce comprehensive reports
  • Some knowledge of heritage planning would be advantageous.
  • Capability to present well-grounded advice in both formal and informal settings
  • Ability to manage or collaborate with a diverse professional team
  • Willingness and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
  • Valid driving license

The positions are full-time, although we are open to considering part-time roles or flexible working arrangements for suitable candidates.
