Co-working Arches

Development planning

In collaboration with Carl Turner architects, AZ Urban Studio has helped secure planning permission to convert a series of semi-derelict arches into an innovative new business space which will include an extensive co-working area as well as spaces for makers.

The development includes almost 3,000 SqM of B1 floors space. It creates a new semi-public route and garden which integrates and extends the existing Lowline in this thriving area of Bankside.

Carl Turner Architects designed the development. AZ Urban Studio advised on overarching planning strategy, prepared planning material and assisted with public engagement and negotiations with the Local Planning Authority. Planning permission was secured, from the London Borough of Southwark in 13 weeks under delegated authority and with no pre-commencement conditions.
