AZ Urban Studio has secured a number of planning permissions for this site in the heart of Southwark’s vibrant Bankside area. On behalf of our client, Union Street Limited, we have most recently achieved an enviable planning position at appeal consisting of:
- – a major mixed-use scheme based upon 4 buildings repairing a gap in the street scene
- – one of the most dense schemes to be approved in Southwark
- – 29% affordable housing
- – a high level of resident parking
- – a low Section 106 payment
The Union Square development exemplifies the approach taken to planning on behalf of developer clients. AZ Urban Studio drove the project through numerous phases of planning battles to secure what we believe will be an exemplary mixed-use development. The project represents good urban design, excellent architecture, and a valuable asset for our clients and the community.
